The home is big,enough space to store even a huge army tank but if the storage isn't in an order the space it has go waste and still it appears as lack of space. I see many houses (especially mine) with this problem and it makes us mad to search for a particular thing when it is needed. So ,how to curb this? This isn't a rocket science, but it requires a strategy to keep in order and in a pattern.
Generally its a topic to be hold by the household and interior designers but I came up with this because I though it would be nice if it worked well here. In my opinion interior must be flexible and an 'easy to find' place. If it is messed up with the stuff which will get us into the confusion then why not clean up the mess? .
Our baggage must be in such a way that if we consider going to a 5+ years of your (probably a world tour) we carry only which are necessary and we cut and cut and cut the things which are going into the bag. Likewise we have to cut the same in the case of the house, my house was such a place when I want a book of my college I have to search it even in the kitchen ,this is because everything wasn't in an order and they got no place to stay. Each room is filled up with everything irrespective of its need.
A kitchen is place for the utensils but I kept tools and even some toys and books too. See,how Confucius it is. When I search steps,I found there cups and mugs. Oh! God what's happening here in my house? What I've done? I think I need to setup all these next holiday, next holiday and so on. But all the holidays went away the same and my house keep on increasing its attachments with the mess. Then I decided to attain a stability to the storage.
I told to myself that this is this year ,and now are never. Its my sister who always asks me to keep the things right there where I picked up ,I ignored her ,I kept my pen near the cooking gas stove ,I kept my diary near to the oven and I did a lot such things and I suffered the loss of some important things. My search for any thing will be forever if this continues . So the solution is..
Simple, I rearranged my books in the steps. I kept tea cups in the carrier of kitchen so does all the other vessels. Toys in the store room, books and other paperworks near to my bed. Oh yeah! I kept all those necessary things (which are needed daily) in my approach. Now its easy for me and my family to get to the object.
All we have to do is to know our space in the house. Its our home right? Who knows it better than us? Even for a house with small space we can make the interior to look better than the big. All we have to do is arrange the items and allot them a specific place to stay. And now its ..life made easy :)
