It Was You Always by Nikhil Kamath - Book Review

My dear readers, it has been a long time that I have not reviewed a book. I was quite busy setting things up for my third book publication and I have been spending my time for myself to boost my priorities and have safe health.

I never felt disconnected from the Blogosphere since I am home always, just a tap away. In recent days, I have come across many situations and met amazing people in my life’s journey. In this expedition to mold me into a personality that cannot be overlooked by anyone, I have met a person who is a young, dynamic, cool attitude, and friendly.

Moreover, he is a teacher like me. I love teaching and I always love to be called myself a trainer as I have successfully trained many students in gaining the skills in various fields.

Alright, so this person is Nikhil Kamath and he is the author of “It was you ALWAYS”.

Being a book bug, I have explored all the genres of books and read many too. But I review only those books which I feel like are connected to my heart.

Besides, I never let myself act as a soundbox to echo the chants of famous authors, in my opinion, famous and the most successful authors are those who are working hard to pay their bills and assisting others selflessly without being noticed by the world.

So, here Nikhil is such an inspiring author who is capable of engaging his readers with more excitement and his work reflects his dedication and real-life experiences. What are we waiting for, let us dive in and review the book?

Love is always an attractive topic:

Nikhil’s “It was you Always” is a love genre book, and many people out there think that reading or writing a love story is just like sipping a cup of coffee, but it is never that easy. If the words are used without any order, that same cup of coffee is going to burn our lips.

The love stories are born from the pain, real-life experiences, and rejections, not everyone is capable of handling that genre so easily and get away with their mess.

This book is a sweet love story with a twist, I was just roaming in my room when I started reading the third chapter. You will love the book if you are a lover of reading love stories.

Characters and their behavior:

Neeraj Prabhu is the hero of the book, and the story revolves around his life and love. His character develops as the chapters open up. There are a total of 14 chapters in this book neatly arranged according to the characters' timing and progressing the story.

I guess the author adjusted the chapters to the 14 number as the number 14 has its significance in all the love stories, February 14 – Valentines' day. This is a guess, I am not sure about this though.

You will see the Protagonist progress through the sufferings and how he consoles himself when stricken by the sad times. The love of our hero in this book is Shreya Mohapatra, in the introduction of the character, the author uses gorgeous, simple, cute and compares her smile to that of a small child.

This is not a common love story kind of book which we read daily or hear from our friends, you need to read to know how this book differs from the other love story books out there. This is a stand-out book.

Neeraj is a food lover, his interest in searching to eat out at new places in Mangalore and Mumbai in some chapters reveals that he is a foodie enthusiast.

Sameer and Sushmita are the two other characters in the book where we will see their names almost everywhere in the book, they are the closest friend to Neeraj and they always had back of Sameer when he is in a state of confusion or depression. Prerna is another major character in the book, you will get to know who she is at the beginning itself, and her eagerness is the reason for all the story to be narrated.

The Story:

We cannot conclude what is going to happen next in this book by reading few chapters, which means, it is an unpredictable compilation of words and moments.

Who doesn’t love being eager to read what will happen next, right? This is not a long book to read or you do not need to spend like 24 hours to read the book. I have finished the book out of my curiosity within two hours.

Although I have applied my speed reading skills in the process, I have re-read the book later for knowing the deep meanings which are hidden in the beautiful words.

The author has portrayed love in a good manner, love takes many forms and it has many roles to play, when we truly understand the other person whom we love or who is loving us, then there will be a life full of love.

If our parents are not letting us go to a place which we are striving to visit, then there is love and caring, but to our mind, it is still like they are controlling us. If a girl is resisting us to do something, then definitely she got a strong reason to do so. A bit of misunderstanding can result in huge consequences.

You will see all sorts of things in this love story, both of the main characters have to undergo all kinds of misunderstandings and fights. But, do they fight and breakup? Well, I don’t want to give a spoiler here, that you should know by reading the book.

Conclusion:

The book is overall a good read, you will find no fillers for fillings the page or just to occupy the space in a page. Each paragraph is framed in such a way that will make us fall in love with the book.

Every love story has two possible ends, a happy ending where the two love birds will find a true home and dwell in love, and a sad ending where they will get separated due to multiple reasons like ego issues, misunderstandings, and disapproval from families, etc.

This book will help you as a guide if you are in love and also assist them who are going to find the love soon. The real conversations and the moments mentioned in the book will make you float. You will see career-wise progress in the field of Hotel Management. Most of the books which I read revolved around Engineering life, and being in that atmosphere I felt a bit bore while reading those stories. But here, I know something about Hotel Management but not everything, and that also kept me in the interesting zone. My best friend is in the same field but I never asked her these all.

My rating for the book is 10/10 and this is not the promotion post or any advertisement. As you all know that I will never keep ads on my site and I review those which I truly fall in love with.

Nikhil Kamath is the name which you will see in the future as one of the great mentor and author. You can get a copy of this book by clicking here.
