There is an inspiration in everything and at everywhere, all we need to do is to bring it into the light from the resources. Nothing in this universe is existed without a reason, there is a reason behind every existence. Whether it is a thing or a person, there is greatness in them. But, they are hiding it behind the curtain. Maybe it's not their time yet. But, there are few people in our lives who are very interesting to pay attention.
These persons exposed their strengths to the world and won a place in many hearts. They came forward to assist others in achieving their dreams, they gave their support in one form or the other to few persons whom they encountered in their lives.
And these people has the ability and willingness to be selfless, creative, innovative. Also these people fought with the tremendous oppositions beyond their levels. These are the people who has the charismatic ability to lead others to success. That's why persons with all the above qualities are called the inspirational icons. They all are authentic and will assist in exploring the greatness within ourselves. Even we can inspire others, we don't need accolades to inspire them, we all need is a belief and commitment. We all have the ability to inspire others.
Inspiration is not an accident, but it is a process by which we are mentally stimulated and tend to do something different. Have you ever wonder, how did Einstein became the synonym for genius! The answer is simple, he did what he planned to do and loved doing it.
In my journey of life so far, I encountered with all kinds of personalities and yet to meet more. Some encouraged me and some discouraged me. Despite of all those encouragements and discouragements, I remained myself. Neither praises took me to the peak nor the discouragements brought me down. Unless I get inspired from them, they have no impact to be made on my lifestyle.
There are few people in my life, very few. They never let me to dwell in loneliness, they pat on my back and said “we're with you”. They didn't involved directly in my battles, they gave inspiration to face it all by myself.
They approached me with their experiences which are very similar to my situation, explained me what to do and what not to do. They didn't carry my burden, but gave me enough knowledge how to carry my own burden.
There is no over-dosage of inspiration. The more it is, the more closely we are to success. Show me a place where there is no inspiration? Show me a person who cannot inspire anybody?
There is greatness in everybody, it can only revealed when necessary. There is one concept that never saw failure, it is ‘accumulate the positivity and dwindle the negativity’. Inspiration which is good will help us to be in that concept.
Following are some of the benefits of inspiration
- We can nurture optimistic mindset
- Inspiration leads to creative thinking
- Imaginations are born from inspiration
- Stable thinking and problem solving skills
- Positive attitude
As I mentioned earlier in this post that few persons really inspired me with their walk of life. I would like to bring three of them here.
Am inspired by a ‘lost' captain of the team
Not always winners inspire us, losers got the inspirational blood in them too. Here, this incident occurred in my life provokes it.
One evening i went to a local football ground to watch the game. It is the finals and I went in the middle of the game and joined the audience who are cheering up for their favourite teams. As I went in the middle of the game, halftime is already finished and none of the teams scored. I know the captain of ‘Cheetahs' team. He is my senior, as well as our neighbour.
Everyone is shouting and screaming loud, they all need is an outcome and undisputed victory. Then in the last minute or two left in the game, a player from ‘Rangers’ team came from nowhere and kicked the ball directly into the goalpost. Now, they are in lead, 1-0. Time's running out and cheetahs aren't able to make a goal because of the skilled goalkeeper of Rangers.
Time's up, match ended and Rangers took the victory with the one goal they made. Now they are advanced to the state level competition. Dreams of Cheetahs ended here.
Silence crept over the audience who cheered for Cheetahs and Rangers fans overloaded them with appreciation. Few minutes later everybody packed up and dispersed.
I know only one guy there, he is the loser captain. He is disturbed by the game, I thought he may say a ‘bye' to me. But, that didn't happened. He wished me with a smile on his face and accompanied me to home. On our way to home, I dared to ask him the reason behind their loss. After few minutes of silence, Roshan (His name) broke the silence and took a deep breath and said “It is actually my fault, I didn't visualised the game plan and I left the ball in the opponent's control for a long time. Everyone in the team are not ready to pass the ball when needed, it's also my mistake as a captain since I failed to teach them the ‘manners of game’. Our coach is good too”
I wondered for his coolness and polite answer. He didn't complain on anyone, he didn't explained about other blunders. He stood in front of the mirror, self-examined and determined his weak points. He shared them with me, so that I won't repeat them when I become a captain. A junior like me getting inspired in that manner is a blessing. I can say he inspired me, do I? Yes, why not.
If I went with the victorious team I may enjoyed and party with them. Is that going to inspire me? No, never. Here, from a ‘loser’ I learned a valuable lesson.
Am inspired by my doctor
I am lucky here, because I got a doctor who treats me both physically and mentally. Dr. Zilker Sanjai Kumar, I know him since 12 years. Whenever I went for a checkup, I get a bonanza of free inspiration from him. He motivates me, he fills the confidence back into my bones.
When I was wondering how to cope with my problems which aren't safe to share with my family because of their health conditions, here Dr.Sanjai came into my life.
Whenever I visit his clinic, he spends 60% on motivating me in various terms and 40% on the treatment. Few months back, I felt like am gone. I am under huge stress due to the distance I have to travel for exams of my final semester. That stress turned into hypertension and it gave neck pain and spine problems. I feel down and distressed, distracted from the regular tasks I do.
And family problems, friends problems, my problems all together teamed up and attacked me.
Then, Dr.Sanjai helped me to cope with them all. He differentiated the problems and analyzed them for me. Assisted me how to face them. And it is his motivation I appreciate forever.
Talking about his personal life. He is an ordinary man with an extraordinary personality. He got lot of problems in his life, relationship crisis and more. But, he stood tall with all the preparation. He also shared some of his personal experiences of his life and mistakes he did in the past. He wants me not to do the same mistakes if the similar situations are set to face by me in future.
Am inspired by my Dad's forgiveness and patience
This is what I never shared before publicly. This will degrade my reputation, but when talking about sincerity, I have to share this.
This incident took place when am in 6th standard. My friends circle is really disgusting in those days, some started to smoke and some with another bad habit. It is unbelievable to digest that a sixth standard student is addicted to smoking. Luckily i'm not into smoking, but another bad habit knocked my door.
We played cricket a lot. We even played with our seniors who are four years senior to us. They all got branded bats and pads, gloves, helmets and stumps. I always wished to own all of them. Then a friend came to me and suggested me to buy a cricket kit.
I brought the proposal to my Dad, he promised me to gift it on my next birthday. That saddened me, as my birthday finished just weeks before. I thought he was trying to skip the gift and started to think about it. Again the same friend gave me a suggestion, it's a bad idea. He asked me to steal in my own home. I was scared to do it, later I gathered all the courage. Love for the kit made me to do so. It was my mom's cataract surgery, that night I remember how I made a master plan to steal the money. I found the briefcase where my Dad used to store his money. I cracked the code wisely and stole the amount. Oh! My God, it's ₹4K. Very huge amount and am going to get a very good quality of cricket kit.
All went well, I took the same friend with me for the shopping since I don't even know how to buy. We bought the kit, I hide it in my friend's house and every evening we played a lot. Big guys became our friends as we got all the branded things.
A lie can't hide for a long time, after 15 days. My dad came to know about the kit and the money I stolen. My mom and sister scolded me a lot (of course I deserve it). My dad came from the office and that night was all silence. I slept and woke up in the morning. Everyone is behaving like they didn't know about my deed. My dad came with a smile and wished me bye before going to office.
Am I dreaming? I didn't understand the scene, in the evening I broke into tears before my family. Standing at the corner like a criminal. My dad took me into his arms and hugged me. He told “ one day this kit have to come home, but you brought it earlier. And that too in a wrong route, this is a lesson to you and am sure you are going to learn something from it” those words are more hurtful than beatings. I thought if he punished me, it would be fine. But, he didn't, he left me free and happy. Here, what can be more inspirational than this? What I am today is because if his patience. I do not know what I would have become if my family punished me. His forgiveness and patience inspired me and changed me. Am not ashamed of sharing this incident as I strongly believe this touches someone.
And I believe that these persons in my life are #madeofgreat. These persons are still my motivators and they never get tired of inspiring me.
As am in the field of mechanical engineering I always have a special for automobiles in my heart, here Tatamotors collaborated with another brand (ambassador), an iconic personality, Lionel Messi. They both are indeed with some inspiration within to share with the world. Am glad that this post is focused on them.
