We are now stepped into another Lent in our lives, Lent 2017 is here and we are here today entering into the chamber of complete prayer and dedicated lifestyle.
Few aren’t following the lent, there are also many of my friends who aren’t practicing this. They say, it’s not mentioned in the Holy Bible that we should practice lent and there is no need to do this.
But in my case, am not leaving this tradition away. My relationship with these lent days are always historic. Each and every year, beginning with theAsh Wednesday, I will keep some spiritual goals and took decisions to blog about it daily.
Unfortunately, all those past years were just much talkative ones and less doer ones, this year, 2017, am going to do what I dreamed about.
Starting from today I will be writing 40 articles, each one daily. I don’t know whether am going to make this or not, but with the grace of Jesus, am up with this. I will be coming up with the inspirational articles and few amazing characters we are going to see in these 40 days.
40 days beginning from today, March 1st2017 to April 15th 2017, we will see a new article popping up. I am not a perfect person to preach, it’s all because of the kindness of the Lord God.
40 days aren’t only enough to keep us on track, but 40 days can make a huge difference in our lives. It’s just not these only 40 days we’re following Christ, but all our entire life.
We will also see the importance of the 40 days and the difference a lent can make.
Today Is Ash Wednesday, and this is a very first Lent Days post. I would like to start with the chapter from Isaiah and you will know why I chose this.
ISAIAH 53
2 For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
9 And they made his grave with the wicked
and there was no deceit in his mouth.
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
because he poured out his soul to death
and was numbered with the transgressors;
and makes intercession for the transgressors.
I hope these lent days will build a bridge between us and the Heavenly father, to have a connection with him and restoration of faith.
Let’s do this together.
Prayer:
Holy Father in Heaven, am here surrendering to you and praying for the very first time in this blog. My Lord! Assist me to utter those words which will make us more confident and help us to grow in the faith. We’re falling away from you because of the world’s attractions and the traps, we pray to you to deliver us from all those things. Also Lord, in these lent days, please speak to us with the Holy Scripture and the impact verses. I pray to you in the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
